Frequently Asked Questions

What are your fees for service?

Our fees for service vary between 225$/hr to 275$/hr, depending on the experience level of the clinician. The Ontario Psychological Association's most recent recommendation (from 2015) is 225$/hr.

We also offer reduced fees for clients working with doctoral students under the supervision of one of our psychologists.  Please contact us to learn more.

Are your services covered by OHIP?

Private psychological services are not currently covered by OHIP, though many extended benefit plans do offer some coverage. Please check with your insurance provider to determine what your coverage looks like.

Do you offer direct billing?

We do not offer direct billing at this time. Many insurance providers will require you to pay for sessions first, submit receipts, and then receive reimbursement. Please check with your provider to understand what process they follow.

What is your current wait time?

Our waitlist is currently open.

What is expected of me during treatment?

Your therapist will discuss a treatment plan with you, outlining what is important in treatment. Therapy must be collaborative in order to be effective, and this means that you will be asked to do some practice between sessions. Your therapist will ensure that you are moving at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for you.

How do I know if treatment is working?

Everyone progresses through treatment at a slightly different pace. The first sign of successful treatment is feeling understood by your clinician, and that the therapeutic relationship is working for you. To know whether treatment is "working", it's important to set specific, measurable goals at the outset, so that you can periodically check in on your progress and make adjustments as needed.
